Network and Technology Alliance

Charter

As information technology becomes more integrated into the teaching and learning environment, and becomes critical to campus administrative activities, it is to the advantage of the CSU as a system, and to the campuses individually, to collaborate when evaluating and adopting new technology standards and operating standards and practices. To that end, the CSU has created the Network & Technology Alliance (NTA).

The NTA shall consist of appropriate information technology professionals from CSU campuses and the Chancellor’s Office and operates under the guidance of the Information Technology Advisory Committee (ITAC). NTA representatives will be nominated by their respective campus ITAC representatives and serve at the discretion of those representatives.

The responsibilities of the NTA include the following:

  1. To act as a technical and operational knowledge resource to the ITAC. It is expected that NTA members will bring their expertise as well as that of industry and other educational bodies, into consideration when presenting information and recommendations.

  2. Establish and maintain procedures to review and update system-wide technology standards and operating standards & practices.

  3. Using the established policies and procedures, on no less than an annual basis, review and revise as appropriate, the system-wide technology standards as well as operating standards & practices to be considered for adoption by ITAC.

  4. Develop and periodically review performance metrics related to the technology standards and operating standards & practices under the purview of the NTA.
