The Network and Technology Alliance (NTA) was formed in 2001 as an advisory body to the Chancellor's Office Information Technology Services - Technology Infrastructure Services (ITS-TIS).

NTA provides technical expertise and input in support of TIS staff activities and the activities of the Information Technology Advisory Council (ITAC), which is comprised of campus Chief Information Officers.

The NTA’s primary focus is on the development and improvement of campus network infrastructure and services. The organization's contributions have been invaluable in the network equipment provisioning originally known as Stage 2 of the TII build-out program, also known as the Infrastructure Terminal Resources Project (ITRP).

As the CSU now looks ahead to an ongoing program of network maintenance, cyclic refreshment and enhancement, NTA will continue to afford important counsel and guidance.
